Overview
The Z3 enters this model year with exciting new features and models. Leading the list is the introduction of the daring new Z3 coupe. For 1999 the coupe is available in two trim models- the Z3 coupe 2.8 and the M coupe. Both feature the same standard amenities found in the Z3 roadster, but with a hard top and larger cargo volume. The Z3 roadsters are still offered in three models- the Z3 2.3 roadster, 2.8 roadster and the M roadster. The Base Z3 receives a new 2.3-liter six cylinder engine instead of the previous in-line four. All Z3s now come standard with side-impact airbags, previously an option, for added safety. Options include cross-spoke alloy wheels, automatic transmission and a removable hardtop for the Z3 roadsters.
