Overview
The 1996 Celica is available in five models - ST and GT coupes and liftbacks; and GT convertible. For 1996, the Celica offers updated front and rear styling, new full wheel covers, revised seat fabric and two new exterior colors; Blue Steel Metallic and Bright Turquoise Pearl. Standard safety features include driver and passenger-side air bags, 5-mph bumbers and side impact door beams. All models are equipped with speed-sensitive power rack and pinion steering and four-wheel independent suspension. Reclining bucket seats, power mirrors, tilt steering, tinted glass and tachometer are all standard equipment. Anti-lock brakes, four-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning and alloy wheels are available as optional equipment.
