Overview

The 1996 Subaru Legacy sedan is available in four AWD models: L, LS, 2.5 GT and LSi. Standard features for all models include air conditioning, dual power mirrors, auto-off headlights and reclining bucket seats. Safety features include dual air bags, side impact door beams and child-proof rear door locks. Other features include remote trunk and fuel door releases, 60/40 split folding rear seat and power windows and door locks. Anti-lock brakes are available for the L and standard on all other models. The LS and LSi sport a power moonroof; the LSi adds leather seating, security system and CD changer. The new GT features a more powerful engine (shared with the LSi), rear and underbody spoilers, fog lights and sport suspension.
