Overview
The 1996 Maxima is available in three models - GXE, SE and GLE. For 1996, the Maxima is available in two new exterior colors; Platinum Iris and Deep Evergreen. The GXE features power door locks and windows, cruise control, rear defrosters and an illuminated entry system. It also features bucket seats, air conditioning and child safety locks. The SE upgrades the GXE with a rear spoiler, front fog lights, sport-tuned suspension and aluminum alloy wheels. The GLE upgrades the SE with a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, automatic climate control, keyless remote entry system and variable intermittent wipers. Additional standard features are leather bucket seats, theft deterrent system and a Bose CD player audio system.
