Overview
The 1996 Accent is available in four models - hatchback and sedan; L (base) and GT hatchbacks. For 1996, the Accent is available in two new colors: Cherry Red and Mint Green. Safety features include 5mph bumpers, side-impact door beams and intermittent wipers. Stabilizer bars are incorporated with the fully independent suspension. The Accent also comes equipped with adjustable seatbelt anchors, front and rear consoles with cupholders, remote fuel door release and dual remote mirrors. The GT adds fog lamps, tinted glass, rear window wiper, spoiler and lower body cladding. Additional equipment includes driver+s five-way adjustable seat with lumbar support, AM/FM stereo, leather steering wheel and tachometer.
