Overview
The 1996 Civic del Sol is available in three models-S, Si, and VTEC. The del Sol can be transformed from a coupe to an open-top roof. All del Sol models come equipped with dual airbags, four wheel double wishbone suspension, power side windows, power rear window, adjustable steering column and a rear window defroster. The S has a new engine which is 1.6-liter, 16-valve and 106 horsepowers. Standard features on the Si model include an AM/FM stereo cassette, power-assisted four wheel disc brakes, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, dual power mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, power door locks and cruise control. Standard features to the del Sol VTEC include anti-lock braking system, larger front and rear stablizer bars and larger performance oriented tires.
