Overview

The 1996 Yukon is available in four models - Two-Door 2WD and 4WD; Four-Door 2WD and 4WD. New for 1996, the Yukon adds a Two-Door 2WD model to its lineup. All Yukons get a new Vortec 5.7L V8 engine that increases the horsepower to 250hp. The Yukon comes standard with rear panel doors that can be upgraded to a tailgate with lift glass at no charge. The Two-Door models come equipped with illuminated entry system, AM/FM ETR stereo radio, vinyl low back bucket seats, daytime running lights and rear heating duct. The Four-Door models upgrade the Two-Door models with automatic day/night mirror, power door locks, custom cloth 60/40 split bench seat and AM/FM ETR stereo with cassette. A 6.5L V8 diesel engine is available on the Two-Door 4WD model.
