Overview
The 1996 Sierra K1500 is available in three 4WD models-(Base) Special, Regular Cab and Club Coupe. New for 1996, the Sierra K1500 is introducing a family line of Vortec engines. The Vortec engines have increased horsepower and torque over the engines they have replaced. Standard safety features include driver side air bag, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, side door guard beams and daytime running lamps which are new for this year. AM/FM radio, stainless steel exhaust, tow hooks and seven-wire trailering harness are all standard equipment. Off-road chassis package, bedliner and limited slip differential are available as options. Preferred Equipment Packages are also available.
