Overview
The 1996 Taurus sedan is available in four models--G, GL, LX and SHO. All models have been completely redesigned for 1996, and include air conditioning, variable assist power steering and dual air bags. To improve ventilation and ease door closing newly designed air extractors have been added to the 1996 Taurus sedan. Convenience items include dual power mirrors, reclining seats, power windows and rear seat heating. Other features include adjustable-anchor seat belts and child safety locks. Ford has created a new 24-valve V6 Duratec engine for the LX. Note: New seat trim inserts (a muted tweed material) will be phased in on GL models beginning late February.
