Overview
The 1996 Ranger regular cab is available in five models- XL and XLT two-wheel drive and XL, XLT and STX four-wheel drive. New for 1996, the Ranger features optional passenger side air bag with deactivation switch. Standard safety features include driver+s side air bag, either four-wheel or rear-wheel ABS brakes and front head restraints. Standard equipment offered are illuminated entry system, front air dam and tinted glass. All four wheel drive models comes with auto locking hubs and power steering. Optional equipment include a 4.0 liter V6 160 hp engine and a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Optional features available include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, aluminum wheels and tilt steering.
