The 1996 Ranger Splash is available in four models-two and four-wheel drive regular cab and two and four-wheel drive supercab. New for 1996, the Splash features optional passenger side air bag with deactivation switch. Standard safety features include driver+s side air bag, either four-wheel or rear-wheel ABS brakes and front head restraints. Standard equipment offered are flareside truckbed, dual power mirrors, illuminated entry system, power steering and tinted glass. All four-wheel drive models comes with auto locking hubs. Optional equipment include a 4.0 liter V6 160 hp engine and a 4 speed automatic over drive transmission. Optional features available include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks and tilt steering.
