Overview
The 1996 Crown Victoria is available in two model editions: (Base) Crown Victoria and LX. For 1996 the Crown Victoria features revised variable assist power steering, a redesigned steering wheel with center-mounted horn, dual air bags and a single key entry system. Other standard items include woodgrain-trimmed instrument panel and solar tinted glass. Options include cruise control, an illuminated entry system, power door locks and remote decklid release. A handling and performance package (including touring tires and rear air suspension) is also available, as are anti-lock brakes with traction control. A six-way power driver seat is optional on the base model and standard on the LX, while leather seats are available only on the LX.
