Overview
The 1996 Chevrolet S-10 2WD is available in five models - (Base) Short and Long Bed, and LS Short Bed, Long Bed and Extended Cab. New features for 1996 include a 170 hp 4.3L V-6 engine, new manual transmission, and later this year, sportside truck beds and a Cargo Access Panel for extended cabs. All S-10 2WD trucks feature four-wheel ABS brakes, driver side air bag and side door beams. LS models feature color-keyed bumpers, chrome grille, AM/FM stereo and cloth seats. Options include air conditioning, stereo upgrades, automatic transmission, aluminum wheels, remote keyless entry, tilt steering wheel, cruise control and power windows, mirrors and locks. Option packages include Exterior Appearance, Sport Suspension and Super Sport.
