Overview
The 1996 K3500 is available in two models - Fleetside regular and extended cabs. New for 1996, the K3500 introduces a family line of Vortec engines. The Vortec engines have increased horsepower and torque over the engines they have replaced. Standard safety features include side impact door beams and daytime running lamps which are new for this year. Additional features include stainless steel exhaust system, intermittent windshield wipers, dual power points, AM/FM stereo, seven wire trailering harness, halogen headlamps and tow hooks. Air conditioning, CD player and leather seating are optional equipment. Silverado Preferred Equipment Packages are also available.
