Overview
The 1996 Impala SS is available in one model. New for 1996, the Impala SS now includes a floor mounted shifter, an analog speedometer and tachometer and a new on-board diagnostics system (OBDII). Safety features include driver and front passenger air-bags, power four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, side impact door restraints and child safety rear door locks. Standard features include a power driver seat, power antenna, rear defroster, remote keyless entry with trunk release and automatic day/night rearview mirror. Additional features include power windows and door locks, cruise control, heated outside mirrors, cast aluminum wheels and a rear spoiler. Options include a power passenger seat, and the Twilight Sentinel Headlamp System.
