Overview
The 1998 Honda Odyssey is available in two models, the LX and the upgraded EX. The Odyssey is built on the Accord platform, rather than a truck platform, enabling the engineers to use the front-wheel-drive layout for better road stability. New for 1998, the Odyssey has a 2.3L V-TEC engine producing 150hp. This new engine provides a boost of 10hp from last year. Also new are the rear step bumper, rear spoiler and the theft deterrent system, now made standard. The Odyssey offers up to 102.5 cubic-feet cargo space. Standard equipment included are power windows, mirrors and door locks, air conditioning, cruise control and 4-wheel ABS. Optional on the LX is seven passenger seating replacing the standard 6-passenger seating pattern.
