Intellichoice Review
The 1998 SLX sport utility is available as a single model. The newly redesigned and upgraded SLX includes front end revision, lighting, grille, alloy wheel design and body-colored side mirrors. Engine power has increased from 190 to 215 horsepower and a new Torque-On-Demand 4-wheel drive system automatically transfers power from rear to all four for increased traction when needed. The SLX transmission features a power mode for increased acceleration and a winter mode for enhanced traction. The fully equipped SLX offers leather interior, power window and door locks, air conditioning, heated front seats, power fold-in mirrors and keyless entry. The standard theft deterrent system automatically armed when the vehicle is locked.
