Overview

For 1998, the Acura TL lineup includes the 2.5TL sedan and the 3.2TL sedan. The Premium Package has been eliminated from both vehicles. The 2.5TL now comes with leather seats and door panels and power moonroof which were previously available only in the Premium Package. Keyless entry and heated mirrors are new features on the 1998 2.5TL. The 3.2TL now comes with heated front seats and heated outside mirrors, also previously available only with the Premium Package. Both vehicles have a 4-speed automatic transmission with the Grade Logic Control System designed to reduce gear hunting while driving up or down a hill. The engines on the TL have knock sensors that adjust ignition timing if engine starts to ping.
