Overview

For 1998, the Acura CL lineup includes the 2.3CL and the 3.0CL. The 2.2CL is no longer available for the 1998 model year and the 3.0 CL remains mostly unchanged. Steering wheel mounted radio controls, immobilizer anti-theft system, alloy wheels and a simulated woodgrain console are new standard features for 1998. Additional standard features include automatic climate control and a compact disc player. Both vehicles have engines with Variable Timing and an Electronic Valve Lift Control system which produces better low end torque and high rpm power. Both vehicles are available with the optional Premium Package which includes a leather console, door trim and seats, and a Homelink Universal Transmitter (2.3CL) and heated seats (3.0CL).
