Overview

For 1998, the B-Series small pick-up trucks feature all new front end exterior styling and the front suspension has been re-engineered. The front suspension is now a double wishbone design. The interior on all regular cab models has been stretched by 3 inches. The 3.0L V-6 has returned to the 1998 model line-up. The base model is now called the SX. The B-Series trucks are also available with SE trim that comes with a more comprehensive list of standard features and luxury options only available on the SE models. A standard passenger side air bag has been added to all models for 1998. Also new this model year, power rack and pinion steering is standard on all models. There are three new exterior colors for 1998.
