Overview
The 1998 Elantra is available in four models: the base, GLS sedan and wagon. For 1998, the base model now features a standard AM/FM stereo with cassette. All models feature a rear window defroster, rear door child safety locks and side window defrosters as standard safety features. Optional equipment includes a trunk/cargo net, a theft deterrent system and a keyless entry system. The Elantra wagon features a standard luggage rack with optional cross rails and a rear washer and wiper (GLS only). The Elantra sedan is available with an optional rear decklid spoiler, a power sunroof and a sunroof wind deflector. Standard interior features on all models include reclining front bucket seats and height adjustable front seat belts.
