Overview
The 1998 Hyundai Accent is available in three three-door hatchback models: the L, GS and GSi, and one four-door sedan, the GL. The three-door GS and the four-door GL models host a range of standard features, including a five-way adjustable driver's seat, a 60/40 split folding rear seat, a tachometer, an AM/FM radio with cassette player and wheel covers. Power steering is now standard on all GS, GL and GSi models. The sporty GSi comes equipped with P175/65HR14 performance tires, alloy wheels and a sport-tuned suspension. Hyundai engineers have relocated the engine and transmission roll mounts to reduce vibration and noise. Optional equipment (except on the L) include air conditioning, anti-lock brakes and an automatic transmission.
