Overview

For 1998, the Ford Crown Victoria is available in two models, the Base model and the LX. The refined rear suspension enhances highway directional stability, particularly in crosswinds. To enhance vehicle security, a SecuriLock anti-theft system is standard equipment. Preferred option equipment has been packaged in two Comfort groups for the LX series. Other new standard features include 16 wheels, a heavy duty battery and wheel covers. New exterior metallic colors for 1998 include Dark Green Satin, Medium Grey and Spruce Green. The LX features additional standard equipment such as a cassette player, a power driver's seat, remote keyless entry and a light group. Other options include an engine heater and a Performance Handling package.
