Overview
The 1998 Escort lineup includes the ZX2 Hot and Cool coupes, the LX and SE sedans and the SE wagon. The all new Escort ZX2 coupe has a new designed interior and exterior marketed towards young singles and couples with an average age of 32. The Sedan has been redesigned to include 14 bolt-on wheel covers and a 60/40 split folding rear seat as standard equipment. The Sedan lineup has been changed and preferred equipment packages have been eliminated to simplify the buying process. Optional packages on all models include the Power Group and the Comfort Group. Also optional is the Sport Group which includes a rear spoiler, tachometer, sport seats, aluminum wheels, bright exhaust tips and sport badging.
