Overview

The Nissan Sentra returns with minimal changes; however, the Sentra sedans have grown for the 1998 model year with the addition of the sporty Sentra SE. The SE features a more powerful 140 horsepower 2.0L engine, unavailable on the Base, XE, GXE and GLE trim levels. The Sentra's styling has been refreshed with updated front and rear fascias. Concerning safety, the Sentra comes equipped with child-safety locks, crumple zones and an energy absorbing steering column. Also standard are adjustable front head restraints, tilt steering and rear and side window defrosters. There are also several optional comfort features available like a power sliding glass sunroof and an automatic transmission. Floor mats are optional on all models.
