With the exception of more available options, few changes are made to the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe sports utility. Tahoe's target market is people in their late 30s to mid-40s with a median household income of $85,000. An optional Comfort & Convenience package and the Onstar System is available on the LT trim for 1998. The optional Onstar system includes a cellular phone. Along with the Global Positioning satellite technology, the Onstar system can pinpoint the vehicle+s position when the vehicle is stolen or notify emergency services after airbags are deployed.
