Overview
The 1997 Odyssey is available in two models. New for 1997, a handle to its third-row bench seat minimizes the effort of retracting into a compartment in the rear floor. The Odyssey meets the 1997 federal side-impact standard. The standard seating arrangement includes seven-passenger seating on LX and six-passenger seating on the EX. The lightweight second-row seating is removable. The optional six-passenger seating is available on LX model. The automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control improved transmission performance during uphill and downhill driving. Engine vibration is minimize with second order balance shafts. The EX adds alloy wheels, power moonroof and keyless remote entry system.
