Overview
The MX-6 is offered with only minor changes. This year the optional 2.5L engine features an increase of four horse power and a four pound torque increase. Another new item is the addition of a rear spoiler to the LS equipment group. The leather package, which includes power seats and heated mirrors, and the popular equipment group are the only two packages available. A few of the items included in the popular equipment group are A/C, keyless entry, anti-theft, power sunroof and alloy aluminum wheels to name a few. Although Mazda is a Japanese owned company, it produces the MX-6 here in the United States at the Flat Rock, Michigan plant. The Ford Probe is built on the same platform as the MX-6, and is very similar in many aspects.
