Overview
The Cherokee Country had it+s first major change since 1985. In an attempt to not compromise what Jeep considers a proven design, the classic Cherokee design was left intact. With a budget of approximately $215 million a systematic program was introduced to implement the upgrade. The changes implemented on the interior of the Cherokee revolved primarily around improving the appearance and the inclusion of a passenger side air bag. Improvements were added to the air conditioning, heating and electrical systems. By adding sound/insulation package and seals and, accompanied by the engine refinement program, noise, vibration and harshness (NHV) were reduced.
