Overview
The Pathfinder was completely redesigned in 1996 and remains unchanged for 1997. The Pathfinder+s MonoFrame unibody construction allows for a more car-like ride, while the engines Sophisticated Optimized Fuel Injection System improves fuel economy by optimizing the engines air/fuel mixture under all driving conditions. The four-wheel ABS system includes a special G-sensor (for off-road use) that reads the roads surface and adjusts braking controls accordingly. This prevents the Pathfinder from skimming do to loose surfaces such as dust, gravel or sand. Luxury features include leather appointed seating and simulated wood trim, retractable cargo area cover and a stereo system with an integrated compact disc player and six speakers.
