Overview
New for this year is the Galant DE which is replacing the Galant S. Nearly 100 changes have been made to the Galant. Some of the more noticeable changes can be seen in the redesigned interior and exterior. Also new, is the engine design and the four speed automatic transmission. Added as interior standard features to the ES and LS are wood grain accents and a center console armrest. Now included as standard features on the Luxury Sedan or LS is automatic climate control, alloy wheels and a new audio system. Available only on the ES is the optional Premium package. Some of these features include a power sunroof, fog lights, alloy wheels, upgraded tires and remote keyless entry system. Mitsubishi plans to revise the Galant in 1999.
