Overview
For 1997, the Taurus comes in four models; G, GL, LX and SHO. The Taurus attains low-emission vehicle (LEV) status in 1997. A center console that can flip into a seat has enabled the Taurus to carry up to six passengers while still providing front bucket seats. Standard on the Taurus is a Integrated Control Panel which contains must of the controls for conveniences such as standard air conditioning, heating and audio system which is actually mounted in the trunk and wired to the panel.
