Overview
For 1997, the Explorer AWD is offered in three trim levels - XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited. The Explorer has been the best selling Sport Utility Vehicle for the past five years. 100,000 mile tune-up intervals are now standard. All models feature a trailer towing package including limited slip and a 3.73 rear ratio, 235/75Rx15SL All-terrain tires and skid plates. Interior features include a Ford/JBL AM/FM Stereo, Cassette with front and rear radio controls, front and rear temperature controls and auxiliary 12-volt power points.
