Overview
The 1997 Thunderbird LX coupe is offered as a single model. The LX is basically a carryover. New for 1997, four-wheel power disc brakes is standard, revised instrument cluster and console offers cup holders, larger ashtray and coin holder. New exterior colors include Light Prairie Tan, Light Denim Blue and Arctic Green. In addition, rear spoiler has been added to the Sport Option Package. For safety and security, 24-hour Roadside Assistance is included. It also meets or exceeds all 1997 Federal Safety Standard. The maintenance cost was rated Excellent and the ownership cost rating is Better than Average based on 1996 IntelliChoice Car Cost Guide.
