Overview
The 2003 Tacoma PreRunner continues from the previous year with little changes. The Tacoma PreRunner offers the outer appearance and trimmings of the four-wheel drive models in a two-wheel-drive configuration. For the entry level, the Base Regular Cab includes a four-cylinder engine with four-speed automatic transmission. For a roomier cabin, the Xtracab includes a four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine with four-speed automatic transmission. A four-door Double Cab is powered by a four-cylinder or six-cylinder engine with four-speed automatic. Option packages include an SR5 package with chrome or color-keyed trim and a TRD Off-Road Package. Individual options include air conditioning, cruise control, a bedliner, and a security system.
