Overview
The Silverado 2500 HD Regular Cab returns this model year with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. Available as standard equipment on all models is a 6.0L 300-hp Vortec V-8 engine coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. GM also offers several different engine and transmission combinations for the 2500 HD Regular Cab. The optional 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V-8 diesel engine provides 300 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft of torque, while the optional 8.1L gasoline V-8 generates an impressive 340 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft of torque. An Allison five-speed automatic and a six-speed manual transmission are also optional. Additional options include an Exterior Appearance Package and Trailering Special Equipment group.
