2007 Opel Vectra OPC Auto Show Photo

Boasting a top speed faster than 160 mph and 0-62-mph acceleration below 7 seconds, the midsize Vectra sedan is the fastest and most powerful vehicle in Opel’s show collection this year. That extreme motivation is provided by its top-of-the-line 2.8-liter/255-horse aluminum V-6 turbo gasoline engine and six-speed manual transmission. Eight other Ecotec engine choices range from a 1.6-liter/100-hp gasoline to 3.0-liter/184-hp CDTI V-6. Following the Astra OPC and Zafira OPC, it extends Opel’s OPC (Opel Performance Center) range of high-performance cars and will also be available as a five-door hatchback and station wagon when it hits Euro dealerships in September. Its IDS-Plus (Interactive Driving System) chassis is optimized for both performance and comfort, and features electrohydraulic steering for precise handling. Its sporty character is evident via its large air inlets, honeycomb grille, 18-inch wheels, OPC blue brake calipers, and twin trapezoidal tailpipes.
