2007 Hyundai Entourage Auto Show Photo

Looking more than a bit like the Odyssey, Hyundai’s first minivan undercuts the state-of-the-art Honda model by $1,500 on base price. The 2007 Hyundai Entourage is a full-size minivan (as oxymoronic as that sounds), at 202 inches long and 78.1 inches wide, with 172 cubic feet of interior volume. And like all Hyundais, it offers lots of standard stuff that would cost extra in the Honda or Toyota competitor. The Entourage debuted at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show has the now-requisite flip-and-fold second- and third-row seats, and the third row has a 60/40-split seatback. Also standard are power dual sliding doors with power windows, adjustable conversation mirror and a foldaway center tray table with four cupholders, premium climate control, folding sideview mirrors and tilt steering wheel. Power adjustable pedals are optional, and the upmarket Limited trim model features leather seats, power tailgate, heated front seats and electroluminescent instrument cluster. Electronic Stability Control, anti-whiplash active front head restraints and six airbags, including side curtains, are standard, and of course its builder expects the minivan to earn five-star front- and side-impact crash ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Engine is a 3.8-liter twin-cam V-6 rated 242 horsepower and 251 pound-feet, coupled to a five-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual control. Looks like another example of Hyundai’s march into the big time.
