2007 Cadillac Escalade EXT Auto Show Photo

The third and final Cadillac model to go on sale late in 2006 as a 2007 model will be the Escalade EXT, founded on the Chevy Avalanche platform. The 2007 Cadillac EXT will share all the exterior and interior styling details of the Escalade siblings, with the exclusion of any third-row paraphernalia. The four-door fullsize GMT900 pickup truck has molded color-matched bed with a hard tonneau cover to keep stored gear clean and secure. EXT models will share the Cadillac lines 6.2-ltier V-8 engine and six-speed transmission and will most likely have a similar base price to the short-wheelbase Escalade model at approximately $55,000. Exact model pricing will not be released for some time. Neither Escalade ESV or EXT will be offered in a heavier-duty configuration, like their Chevrolet counterparts (Suburban 2500 and Avalanche 2500), which means all Cadillac fullsize SUVs will have an independent front suspension with coilover springs in front and coil springs and a track bar on the rear live axle.
