Daihatsu D-Compact 4x4 Auto Show Photo

Looking like Son of RAV4, the D-Compact 4x4 made its world debut in Frankfurt. The five-passenger sport/cute brings traditional SUV elements of command seating, all-weather traction, and flexible interior to the city. Its small size makes it friendly for negotiating narrow, European cobblestone streets, or securing a coveted parking space in Japan. Larger than the Daihatsu Terios sport/cutey, this concept hits a more comfortable size while maintaining the fuel efficiency, acquisition cost, and maneuverability its pocketable dimensions bring. The concept has a true 4WD system with a locking center differential, and it boasts such safety equipment as vehicle stability control. Power comes from a corporate 1.5L/105-hp inline four. Safe bet this little guy is headed for production.
