Nissan Sport Concept Auto Show Photo

Nissan scratched plans to replace its Sentra with a Renault Megane-based car when it did poorly in U.S. clinics. Now, it will rely on the Megane platform for three new sub-Sentra cars to compete here with Scion; a Cube replacement based off its Actic concept (xB competitor), a sporty coupe based on its Azeal concept (tC) and this xA competitor, the Sport Concept show car. While the production version will be much more economy-minded and more like the Megane on which it is based, the concept shows Nissan’s plan to vie for front-drive sport compact tuners. It features 20-inch wheels, lots of carbon-fiber composite parts, a real-car interior with 2+2 racing seats and four-point belts, sport-throw shifter, and a large blue-cone speaker and woofer mounted in the rear parcel shelf.
