Rinspeed Chopster Auto Show Photo

If it's extreme you want, count on this Swiss automotive powerhouse to provide it. Rinspeed, a cross between a tuner, customizer, and design house, has put its spurs to the Porsche Cayenne, and this is the result. The Chopster features a muscular body redesign that affects every panel save the roof and windows, and an interior packing loads of high-buck leather, carbon fiber trim, and Blaupunkt and Sony electronics. The special 23-inch wheels are cast by CW Fahrzeugtechnik Vertriebs (no need to repeat that). As if the Cayenne Turbo's 450 horsepower twin-turbo V-8 isn't powerful enough, Rinspeed tunes it up to a stated 600. Rinspeed and EDAG Engineering will custom build one to your order - for about $400,000, at current exchange rates. There are no current plans to bring the Chopster to the U.S.
