Selected from nearly 2,300 domestic and import 2014 model-year vehicles, the Best Overall Value of the Year (BOVY) awards recognize the best car values by class. IntelliChoice’s BOVY awards represent the oldest and most recognized automotive data analysis focused solely on identifying vehicles that will cost significantly less to own than other vehicles in their respective class.


One of the most traditional vehicle bodystyles, the sedan, comprises a wide variety of segments fitting nearly all size needs and price points. The Toyota and Lexus hybrid siblings lead the passenger and premium passenger car classes through very low fuel and operating costs as well as excellent retained value. Acura's ILX sedan offers consumers an economical premium compact choice and has the lowest overall ownership costs compared to the competition. On the Luxury side, the BMW 528i, backed by a four year free-maintenance program, sees a reduction in overall operating costs and overall cost of ownership giving it an edge against other luxury models. We've projected the new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, in this case wearing the AMG performance badge, will follow similar trends of the C-Class will hold its value well, while exhibiting lower overall cost of ownership than other premium performance cars.
