Toyota grabs three class wins with their trio of hatchbacks; the smaller Prius c and the largest Prius v, part of the newer extended Prius family of vehicles and the two-door Yaris. Amongst compact cars, the Prius c mirrors the history of the original Prius, which includes having the lowest fuel, maintenance and operating costs of any non-electric vehicle in the segment, and the larger v hatchback, that provides more utility without compromising value. On the sportier side, the diminutive Yaris claims the lowest operating costs of all non-EVs in the segment, as well as the highest retained value.
