The all-new third generation 2014 Acura MDX is available in a new FWD or 4WD with three optional packages: Technology, Entertainment, and Advance. Built on an all-new platform, the new MDX has a 2.8-inch longer wheelbase and is 275 pounds lighter than the previous generation. All models are powered by a new direct-injected 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 producing 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine also features Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), which switches between 3 and 6 cylinder modes, effectively varying engine displacement to match driving conditions for improved fuel efficiency. The Technology Package offers the Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, premium sound system, Milano premium leather seating surfaces and rearview camera. The Advance Package adds Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a blind spot information system (BSI) and an Active Damper System.
