The 2014 Jeep Wrangler is available in four trims: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon in either two-door or four-door (Unlimited) bodystyles. All models are powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Rubicon models improve the Wranglers off-road capabilities by adding a heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles and the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio. True to its roots, the Jeep Wrangler preserves the traditional off-road capability with a body-on-frame chassis construction, solid front and rear axles, and detachable doors. Additional special edition models will be offered later in the model year, including the Willys Wheeler editions which feature retro styling cues that pay respect to the Jeep's military roots.
