The 2014 Focus is available in five trims: S, SE, ST, Titanium, and BEV. Most models feature a 2.0L EcoBoost engine while the BEV is powered by a permanent magnetic traction electric motor producing 143 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The Focus ST was developed by Ford's global performance vehicles group which oversees Team RS (in Europe), and the U.S. SVT engineers which have produced such vehicles as the F-150 SVT Raptor and the Shelby GT500. The ST EcoBoost engine is a high output version of the new four-cylinder powerplant. It was specially designed for the Focus ST along with unique intake and exhaust systems. The top-of-the-line variant also features unique design queues such as new 19-inch alloy wheels, front air dam, and an aggressive rocker panel treatment for a more muscular stance.
