The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe has been updated for this year, and now features the "fluidic sculpture" design philosophy used in other recent Hyundai model launches such as the Sonata and Elantra. The Santa Fe is now offered in two bodystyles-- a short wheelbase five passenger Santa Fe Sport, as well as the previous longer wheelbase seven-passenger Santa Fe. According to Hyundai, this is the first crossover in the non-luxury segment to offer engineering advancements such as Torque Vectoring Corning Control and Driver Selectable steering, both designed to improve the handling characteristics of the vehicles. Other standards for the model line include seven airbags, panoramic sunroof, and heated rear seats. The second 40/20/40 row seats slide and fold for added convenience. As a result of an audit and investigation by the EPA, Hyundai and Kia have posted reduced mileage ratings for most of their 2012 and 2013 vehicles; if applicable, MPG ratings shown have been adjusted as of Nov 2012.
