The 2013 Jeep Wrangler is available in three trims: Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon in either two-door or four-door (Unlimited) bodystyles. All models are powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that delivers 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Rubicon models improve the Wranglers off-road capabilities by adding a heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles and the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio. True to its roots, the Jeep Wrangler preserves the traditional off-road capability with a body-on-frame chassis construction, solid front and rear axles, and detachable doors. New Sport Freedom and Sahara Moab editions will be available later in the model year.
