The 2013 Volkswagen GTI is available in either two-door or four-door hatchback, and in either manual or automatic transmission. Changes for this model year include new wheels and a retro-inspired golf-ball shift knob on the mid-level trims. All models are powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 200 horsepower and 207 ft-lb of torque. The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) with Tiptronic controls. Standard on all GTI models is cruise control, air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, and high performance brakes. Models can be ordered with a Convenience Package with moonroof, a moonroof with navigation system, and an Autobahn Package.
